I am connected with Aumpranava Ashram in south India with my good friends Visvanathan and Traude, who I have known 30/20 years and who are managing the spiritual community, which serves many vulnerable people.
Here 40 children and 20 elderly homeless people live and are cared for in the best possible manner. The community has received numerous awards, including from the governor of the state and is well loved by the local people. If you want to deepen your spiritual experience then please visit.
What is on offer for you at the ashram:
Twice daily community singing and prayers in the temple
Daily community yoga asanas for peace and balance
Spiritual talks
Simple accommodation; vegetarian food
Volunteer work: teaching the children with their homework in the evening; simple helping out in the kitchen; or work on the land.

The ashram is set in beautiful sylvan nature, surrounded by rice fields and mango plantations, with an abundance of exotic bird and animal life.

Trips in the locality, 20 minutes away:
Ancient Tenkasi Shiva Temple

Ancient Courtallam temple and other sites of spiritual interest
Two beautiful water falls (Courtallam and Five Falls).

Further afield lie many other attractions such as tea plantations in the hills and other temples.

How to get there:
Fly to Trivandrum, capital of Kerala, south India
Rest from the journey 1-2 nights at Kovalam or Varkala, beach resorts 20/60 minutes from the airport.
Be picked up by the ashram taxi for the journey to Aumpranava Ashram through the hills.
First timers to India may want to avail of the ashram taxi directly from the airport.
